JAWSOME: The Space Sharks Hunt
When the ultimate predators faces the galaxy’s most cold blooded murderers – it’s going to get good!
Ok, now before we wade into (see what I did there) this novel let’s talk about the Space Sharks and that topmost image. Here’s my question:
If I told you that image was from the Heresy, what Legions would you think the marines were from?
The guy in the back is clearly a Night Lord – no mystery there. The dude in front is wearing white armor, looks PISSED OFF and is wielding a chainaxe. Hmmm…
Here’s some more intriguing notes on the Carcharodons via Lexicanum:
- Much of the information surrounding its history is shrouded in myth or allegory, but fragmented pieces of data point to it already being in existence as early as late M32, during the Astropath Wars. One thing is for certain, however: that the Chapter was given a sacred duty to travel the empty spaces beyond the Imperium‘s borders, seemingly forever, to seek out and destroy the enemies of Mankind.
- During the Badab War their dark legend would be sealed. The hidden fortresses of the Mantis Warriors were ransacked of supplies and war materiel, and a whole generation of the system’s young men were taken away to replace the losses the Chapter had incurred during the war, forced to fight each other to the death to see who would be worthy to join the Carcharodons’ ranks.
- With that the Carcharodon fleet disappeared, apparently returning to the dark void above the galactic plane.
- The Chapter’s armory was noted to consist mostly of old-style suits of Power Armor, particularly the Mark-V Heresy Pattern, and weaponry.
As my final bit of lore – it was noted that during the Heresy many Traitor Legions had loyalist elements who broke off and fought to extinction against their brothers or disappeared into the mists of history – their fates unknown. Just saying…
Onto Red Title
A darkened prison, a pack of Night Lords and the Imperium’s most predatory Space Marines… What could go wrong?

THE STORY
On the prison world of Zartak, darkness has fallen on arbitrators and inmates alike. The Night Lords have come, and with them the shadow of fear and pain. But they are not the only ones with an interest in Zartak. From the void, running on silent, another fleet emerges. Its warriors are grey-clad and white-faced, and their eyes are as black as the Outer Dark – the savage Carcharodon Astra. As these two packs of ancient, merciless predators stalk the shadows of the prison colony, both seeking a single young inmate with unnatural talents, the corridors run red, and both factions will have to fight tooth and claw to leave Zartak alive.
