The Forces of the Custodes
Today we look back at the exotic units and vehicles of the Adeptus Custodes to see what Forge World may be bringing us!
Forgeworld has already unveiled new Adeptus Custodes units beyond the squad that comes with Burning of Prospero. They said new Custodes units would be available at the next Warhammer 40,000 Open Days on November 5-6. So far we have seen a standard Custodes Guard infantry unit and the Caladius Grav Tank.

Other Custodes Forces
That got us thinking about what else Forge World has in store. So we went through the ancient Horus Heresy Sabretooth CCG to dig up other Custodes units and equipment. We hit paydirt! Take a look at these and think about how much you might want to collect this – the most elite of armies…
Here we see the “default” Custodes that seem to be close to what the plastic Prospero minis represent. We have the tall conical helmets, ornate gold and red colors with the hallmark Guardian Spear.
This unit is equipped for shooting and packs bolters. The conical helmets are gone, replaced with tight fitting silver helms.
Ahh, here we see the origin of the Sentinel Blade and Shield units.
Custodes Contemptors are a thing. I can’t wait!
Custodes jetbikes. They get all the cool toys. Eat your heart out Ravenwing.
Custodes Terminators – armed for shooting and what looks like Cataphractii armor.
Custodes Assault Terminators – armed to burninate the countryside.
