Geekery: The Fate of the Furious
Let the ridiculous car chases continue… now with more submarine and Charlize!
It’s been 15 years since the original Fast and The Furious movie came out, and they just keep getting more insane as the franchise marches on. It was obvious director F. Gary Gray‘s first FF movie is going to be driven by spectacle based on the shooting they did in June…

Universal released a full trailer yesterday. Turn most of your brain off for the next 3 minutes. It’ll help.
The crew is having a hard break up 🙁
Like Transformers the Fast and Furious franchise isn’t really known for its magnificently intricate plots. You see these for ridiculous action and suped up vehicles. It looks like F8 has those in spades, as well some surprising cast members. Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron (channeling Sway from Gone in 60 Seconds with the hair) are new to the cast, as well as Kristofer Hivju – because what movie doesn’t need a crazy red headed viking bad guy?
The usual bunch is returning on different teams this time – Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Elsa Pataky, Nathalie Emmanuel, Lucas Black, Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson, and Kurt Russell.
Fate of the Furious is due out April 14, 2017
Who’s up for 2 hours of automobile destruction backed by a questionable plot?
