Geekery: Transformers 5 – Yes, There are 5 of Them
Confirmed: Michael Bay still knows how to blow things up.
Mark Wahlberg and the Autobots return in this quasi re-boot. Like the previous movies in the series it looks jam packed with explosions, action, and really well done CG. Unlike the other movies: Sir Anthony Hopkins.
The finished up principal shooting on Sunday.

And put the first trailer out yesterday…
Cast also includes the voices of Ken Watanabe and John Goodman; as well as performances from Stanley Tucci and John Turturro.
The series isn’t really known for in depth, soul wrenching story telling that Oscar voters love. i09 is reporting that the story is made up of two plot lines from separate timelines that will merge at the end of the movie; and that it will reveal important Autobot and Earth history along the way. The official synopsis is less than inspiring:
Optimus Prime finding his home planet, Cybertron, now a dead planet, which he comes to find he was responsible for killing. He finds a way to bring the planet back to life, but in order to do so he needs to find an artifact, and that artifact is on Earth.
It looks like a lot of the same, but I could be proven totally wrong. Either way: it will make a lot of money this summer.
Was that Unicron?
