Customize your unknown worlds and unexplored landscapes with the latest addition of Antares terrain, complete with random shaped plates to define the area affected!
Termite Mounds
Whether these mounds are hives for creatures or air vents for something larger, they help create an alien feel to any battlefield. Intruding from the ground, these ‘spikes’ don’t bother most troops but they make it dangerous for most, if not all, vehicles.
In the Antares rule book, the Termite mounds will mainly be recognized as rocky pinnacles which have this profile:
Line of Sight | Open Ground |
Cover | +2 Resistance |
Difficult | Yes |
You can create any profile for your terrain just make sure to have consent for both sides!

This set comes with 1 large, 2 medium and 3 small termite mounds plus the MDF terrain area plates.
Alien Plants
Many worlds are abandoned or thought to be lifeless, this just gives the planet the chance to restart, or develop hither to unknown life. Planets can give birth to any type of creature or plant given the many and varied atmospheric conditions – your only limit is your imagination.
Make sure your troops don’t get too close to these plants, we don’t know what they do!
In the Antares rule book, the Alien plants can be anything ‘shrubery’ related, or a super killer death plant, so we suggest a profile like this:
Line of Sight | Light Terrain |
Cover | +1 Resistance |
Difficult | Yes |
Special Rule | If a unit moving through or into an area of this plant fails the agility test for difficult terrain it suffers D3 strike value 0 hits. The unit will take a pin on it unless its resistance is 11 or higher |
You can create any profile for your terrain just make sure to have consent for both sides!
This set comes with 3 large and 6 small plants plus the MDF terrain area plates.
Rocky Terrain
Rocks are on nearly every single planet and can be used in any manner you really see fit, you can make a debris field, or a boulder field, or a natural field faded by time.
In the Antares rule book, these can be used in any formation but most likely will be recognised as rocky ground which has this profile:
Line of Sight | Light Terrain |
Cover | +1 Resistance |
Difficult | Yes |
You can create any profile for your terrain just make sure to have consent for both sides!
This set comes with 1 large, 1 medium and 6 small rocks plus the MDF terrain area plates.
