40K: Designers Speak: Triumvirate of Ynnead
Warhammer TV is back with a behind-the-scenes chat with the Designers of the Triumvirate of Ynnead’s Models!
The folks at Warhammer TV have created another interview video with two members of Citadel design team Dave Thomas and Jes Goodwin. They have a pretty interesting tale of how they came up with the 3 models that create the Triumvirate of Ynnead.
We’ve heard all week about the backstory and rules on the three new Triumvirate of Ynnead characters, Yvraine, the Visarch and the Yncarne. Today, we hear from the team that sculpted this incredible trio of heroes.
If you get a chance to watch the whole video it’s a great bit of info on how they came-up with the “abstract eldar-ishness” that makes up the Avatar of Ynnead as well as the other models.
They also have lots of shots of the models in the full 360° which really helps to illustrate the “swirliness” of the Avatar and showcase the other models from different angles. It’s really impressive to see that the Avatar is not just in the center of the swirl, but that it’s also “floating” off the center base.
