The Scum faction are getting some EPIC love for Star Wars: X-Wing – The C-ROC Cruiser is on the way!

I hope everyone is ready for a new Huge Ship because the Merchant One is coming in HAWT! Scum & Villainy is joining the BIG time with the new C-ROC expansion for Star Wars: X-Wing!

The core design of the C-ROC is based off the Gozanti Chassis so it’s no suprise they share some similiarities – but don’t let that fool you. This ship flies much differently than it’s Imperial cousin. These differences help to highlight it’s unique play style in the game. For example, the Gozanti is know for it’s ability to drop TIEs into battle. Obivously, the C-ROC won’t have that ability, however, it makes up for that with its ability to carry lots of stuff!

Speaking of stuff this thing can carry, lets take a look at some of the upgrades this ship is bringing to the table:

The new Heavy Laser Turret will fit nicely with this ships hardpoint. A four dice attack is nothing to scoff at!

These are very similar to the Illicit card “Rigged Cargo Chute” – it allows you do drop some more debris on the field to help clutter some things up.

These new Supercharged Power Cells will also help boost those attack dice for your Heavy Laser Turret! If 4 dice is nice, 6 dice is even better!

Crew Cards

Cikatro Vizago is a crime boss who has all sorts of connections. And you can use those connections to swap out cards mid game!

Azmorigan is also a card designed in the same vein – only he allows you to swap out other crew and team cards. These two really make Scum the Swiss army knife of the factions!

Title Cards

The Merchant One title expands your crew and team slots at the cost of a cargo slot. I’m pretty sure there are many silly combos to be had with that many extra people running around this ship….

The Insatiable Worrt is probably the most straight foward title. Besides, who doesn’t want to recover more energy?

The Broken Horn seems like a ship that should be paired up with the Hounds Tooth. Why? No reason besides I think the names have to do with animals…but on a serious note, it does add some durability to this ship. Keeping in mind that it’s already a massive 14 points to chew through, every shot you can deflect is going to keep it alive and in action that much longer.

If you want to learn more about this ship, check out the full rundown from Fantasy Flight Games right HERE. Overall, it’s a solid addition to the game for Scum and yet another reason to give Epic Play a shot! Huge ships are a lot of fun to fly – especially if you like to ram things.
