I’m HOOKED! Circle of Orboros’ Loki
Circle has a new character warbeast with a big chain and a bad attitude. Check LOKI out.
Who is LOKI?
Loki is the new warpwolf character beast for Circle. It it more defensive in nature then the other wolves in the circle stable. It also has a unique ranged attack that Circle has not had access to before in Drag. He comes in at hefty 19 point so is a big investment for his utility.
What Does Loki Do?
Loki is a weird warpwolf to say the least with only 2 base attacks. Loki is sporting a great statline with that base 14 defense and combined with his shield he is sitting at ARM19. This is one of the best stat lines beast wise in Circle. On the offensive side of things he has a RNG8 POW15/17 hook. It is a thrown weapon so it can go up depending on buffs. His shield and bite are only POW14 meaning he is probably topping out at POW18 after warps/buffs. That means he isn’t killing to many high ARM heavies.
He is pretty standard with the fury 4 department but, he starts becoming more unique once you get to the back of his card.
Animus: Dodge, just like the griffons he can move away if you miss him.
Bond Tanith: Prowl, nothing suprising from a warpwolf.
Controlled Warping
- Hunter: Hard to hide from his ranged attack
- Preternatural reflexes: No easy hits
- Warp Strength: Standard warpwolf shenanigans
Regen: Standard Circle shenanigans
Shield Guard: No longer a wold/bokur only option. This makes Loki very enticing to take.
You Can’t Get Away!!!
For real though DRAG is the main reason to take this beast. Especially in a faction that has the tools to delete models that are out of position. With Shifting Stones this model has a 16″ threat on drags. It will be incredibly hard to defend against the angles that Loki can get to with standard Circle shenanigans. Throw in dirty spells like Dopplebark and Gallows to get the poor target even worst spots lining up for annihilation.
Drag assassinations are going to be a thing if you don’t have a shield guard or 2 to stop it. Consider Moshar, Wurmwood, and Kaya2 can easily get within Dopplebark range your caster is probably going to be a measly defense and prime Loki prey.
Loki List:
Krueger 2 is all about shenanigans. He can move enemy models around in weird ways with his feat, telekinesis , and gallows. What better beast to accompany the cloud master then Loki?
This list is all about pulling heavies into certain doom and putting pressure on scenarios.

Revenant’s Final Thought:
Loki is a great addition to the Circle stable and brings some unique abilities.
B+ just because he is a very pricey investment at 19 points.
