The followers of the blood god Khorne have gotten a new Chaos Battletome and it’s under the Tabletop Spotlight in this episode:
Did you like the newer style of the Tzeentch book? Did you enjoy having all your Stormcast Eternal entries in one consolidated source? Well, if you’ve got a Khorne force guess what: You’re getting the same treatment! This book has all the current info you need to take some skulls in the name of Khorne.
First off, this 152 page book is packed full of the backstory. If you’re curious about what the heck Khorne has been up to, how his kingdom works, or how the timeline “fits” in with Age of Sigmar then this book has your covered.
This book also covers the rules for both Daemon and Mortal followers of Khorne – you can run a mixed force like you’ve always wanted too! It’s got new Sllegiance Sbilities, the new “Blood Tithe” rules, new Artefacts of Power, more daemonic gifts, and new Blessings of Khorne. All of these new rules really help to take Khorne’s forces up another knotch on the battlefield.
And speaking of the battlefield, this book also has 23 Warscroll Battalions for players to put together. There are 4 of those “mega battalions” in the book, 2 for each Daemonic and Mortal themed armies. That’s not counting all the other ones included. I’ve already talked about my personal favorite: The Gore Pilgrims.

Overall, Blades of Khorne is a great book for Age of Sigmar and a welcome addition for any fan of Khorne. As far as Chaos Gods go, Khorne has been the main antagonist vs the Stormcast Eternals in the AoS story line since day one. Sure, the other forces of chaos have been fighting too, but Khorne was featured in the starter box and all the other “starter” products. There are lots of players who have probably cut their teeth on AoS with Khorne forces so this should help them get back in the fight. Khorne doesn’t care where the blood flows as long as it’s flowing after-all!

All fear the coming of the Blades of Khorne. The air is rent with bloodcurdling howls as the Bloodbound Warhordes march forth. Cruel axes hew limbs and lop heads, and the blood flows thick enough to tear open reality itself. Bounding, red-skinned figures hurl themselves through the breach in the world, hell-forged blades thirsting for flesh and eyes blazing with hateful flame. The Daemons of Khorne have come, and torrents of gore shall be spilled in the name of their raging god.
