On paper and on mute this has a lot going for it. In a time when spoilers in trailers is the norm, this trailer reveals nothing – it’s well cut, and yet…
I understand that it’s hard to sell a period piece to “the youth”, but why go with the song that’s been selling Zelda for months? A song that’s about how emotional pain made the songwriter better at his craft (I think), and absolutely nothing to do lyrically or musically with what you’re trying to sell. 99 Problems would have been just as relevant. Maybe more so.
