GW: Talisman Returns This Christmas
The Classic Boardgame Adventure is returning to print just in time for Christmas!

Talisman is back! Get ready to return to a world of magic, monsters and heroism and write your own story in this classic board game, out in bookstores and hobby shops across the world this Christmas.
Games Workshop is going to re-release Talisman along with six expansions. Within those expansions will be “new realms to explore, new enemies to battle and new power to unlock.” This sounds like it’s going to be more than just a re-print!
The last time the game was in print was under license from Fantasy Flight Games. It was available up until the split happened in 2016. You can still find some of the basic info on their website along with some of the rules as well.
The core gameplay revolves around 2-6 players adventuring around the board in an attempt to gain enough power to claim the Crown of Command. On their turn, the player rolls a die to determine their movement, then they choose where they want to land. Once they land on a square they must then face the challenges provided.
As players overcome these challenges, they gain artifacts and powers in hopes that they can eventually travel to the center of the board where the final challenge awaits. Will they be strong enough to claim the Crown of Command or will the dangers in the Valley of Fire overtake them?
Talisman has always been a fan-favorite and now it sounds like GW is adding some new things to the game as well. We’ll be keeping an eye out for this one and the expansions that are due out, too. Adventure awaits!
