D&D: The Lost Tales of Myth Drannor Revealed!
Looks like there’ll be something special for you Adventure Leaguers come GenCon.
The Lost Tales of Myth Drannor, aka Super Secret Adventurer’s League Project 76 has just been revealed. The book is a special reward for members of the Adventurer’s League and will be given out at GenCon and a few other cons that the adventurer’s league admins have been invited to. The whole thing is a special project cooked up by the admins of the Adventurer’s League to show some love to the many fans who have kept the game going strong all these years.
Set in Cormanthor with its luscious rimwood, midwood, and starwood, and home to the elves and their ancient magics. Myth Drannor was once protected by the elves and the legendary Knights of Myth Drannor, though at one point the flying Netherese city of Thultanthar, whose spelling I did not have to look up three times, crashed into it, destroying both cities. Again.
And as seen on Twitter, this all happens afterwards. So adventurers will be stepping into a city that is rife with opportunity. More to the point, these are a collection of adventures aimed at characters from 1st-20th level, so there’s something for everyone. As of yet, the book is only available as a convention promo to help support the Adventurer’s League, though they do have plans to eventually get this book released through the DM’s Guild.
All in all, this is a really cool project, and it’s wonderful to see this kind of support for the Adventurer’s League. Doubly so for high-level play (which I feel like sort of gets the short end of the stick in organized play–I’d wager that’s because you see more new players looking to try it out than players who stick around the whole way). In the meantime, though, here’s a look at the back cover for you. We’ll keep you updated as more develops from Myth Drannor.
Myth Drannor? Well…I wouldn’t exactly say I’ve been mything it Bob.
