D&D: The Tomb of Annihilation Returns in Podcast Form
Celebrate the Tomb of Annihilation Launch Week by exploring the dungeon along with these popular podcasters.
Frankly making a D&D Podcast takes a bit of Audacity. But that fits in with the whole adventuring ethos–you’re daring enough to delve into the deep parts of the earth, fighting monsters and looting treasures and in general wreaking untold havoc on the local economy of whatever thorp you wander into after being laden down with gold.
The only difference between marauders and an adventuring party is which direction they’re running…
Well with the launch of the Tomb of Annihilation only a few weeks away, Wizards has announced their next community cavalcade–this time it’s Podcasts like Nerd Poker and Drunks & Dragons that get their time in the spotlight. Metaphorically. I mean they’re audio-only, but! You can celebrate the release of the Tomb of Annihilation by listening to all your favorite yahoos play through different parts of the Tomb of Annihilation adventure–two episodes a day starting on September 18th with Nerd Poker and Taking Initiative.
Here’s the full list and details from WoTC.

Many of the most popular D&D live play podcasts out there are all playing through different parts of the Tomb of Annihilation adventure to celebrate the wide release. Each day during the week of September 18th, Dungeons & Dragons will release brand new episodes of these awesome podcasts on the Dungeon Delve RSS feed.
Each of the groups is busy recording these sessions now and getting them ready, as well as organizing crossover meetups with characters or DMs appearing in the other groups as guests. It’s been an absolute blast witnessing the flurry of creativity that these amazing DMs and players have been bringing to the mic and we’re psyched to be able to showcase their interpretations of the Tomb of Annihilation.
Mark your calendars – the Podcasts of Annihilation will be coming to Dungeon Delve starting with two episodes releasing on September 18th and following with two new episodes each day that week. Click here to subscribe to Dungeon Delve on iTunes or wherever you download podcasts.

If you’ve never sat back and listened to a D&D Podcast, you’re missing out. It’s a great way to see what other people in the gaming community get up to–and it showcases all the best parts of D&D. A bunch of friends hanging out and having fun and joking around. It’s a good way to shake up the energy in your own gaming group and bring in a little bit of the communal zeitgeist pool to the furthest reaches of the earth. Or wherever you get together and game.
Either of the podcasts listed here is a great place to get started–or if you want to get in on one of the podcasts that, won’t be running the Tomb of Annihilation but did just have the epic finale of their first big campaign, you should also check out the Adventure Zone.
The big round of podcasts culminates with the launch of the Tomb of Annihilation, so check back here for a look at the adventure.
Happy listening!
