40K RUMOR: Great Unclean One Mini Spotted
A gamer is reporting a sighting of a Great Unclean One mini this past weekend. Here’s the details:
This past weekend, Warhammer World had an Open Day. Forge World had a bunch of models on display and GW unveiled the upcoming House Orlock minis for Necromunda.
We know that the next two codexes are Blood Angels and Dark Angels, both arriving in December. The first codex of next year is Chaos Daemons.
One gamer reports that he got a glimpse of the back cover of a copy on the codex that was at the event.
Here is his descripton of the image on the back of the book:
“Can confirm a new Great Unclean One model, Horticulous Slimux is in there and some kind of new Nurgle demon I have never seen before. The GUO is very similar in size to the Forgeworld version. The New demon was similar to plaguebearers in height but a lot bulkier.”
Headed to the Grimdark? He’s just to cute to stay in the 8 Realms.

We have three models described here:
- Enormous GUO
- Horticulous
- Fat Plageubearers
Ewwww gross – but would be better in plastic…
The GUO lines up with previous rumors of a new Great Unclean One coming soon after the new year. If it IS close in size to the Forge World GUO it would be a truly enormous model – up there with the Glottkin – maybe more massive.
Horticulous Slimux makes perfect sense as he’s a named character daemon and has a model. There is no reason he can’t migrate over from Age of Sigmar to the Grimdark. Also his Snail is AMAZING!
The real mystery to me is the final new model – the “bulkier Plaguebearer”. Color me intrigued…
