Lord Celestant Gavriel Sureheart releases this weekend–and his rules have already made their way to the internet.

Doing hte rounds today, we get a look at the upcoming Lord Celestant Gavriel Sureheart’s rules. For a guy who comes equipped with a Starbound Blade and a Thundershield, he seems to be pretty straightforward, if beefy. He’s all about getting in there–his command ability lets you add 3 to Charge Rolls for friendly Stormcast Eternals within a sizable area. So, quite good the turn you need to secure the charge.

I will say though, no matter what, I can’t help but read Lord-Celestant Sweetheart every time. And this guy just looks like a sweetheart:

Even if his face does look like someone who is permanently smelling something foul. At any rate, Gavriel here is a beating and a half–take a look.

With 3’s in all his stats, and doling out 2 damage on a hit, he can put the hurting on someone if he gets the charge off, especially thanks to the extra attack he’ll be making with his Inescapable Vengeance. And that Thundershield will be more like a Fundershield, assuming you’re ever able to turn those 1’s into successes. If my experience is anything to go by, picking up a character that allows you to reroll ones, especially one that has an extra spicy benefit if you successfully succeed at the thing you would otherwise have failed at, is the surest way to guarantee that you’re about to roll multiple 1’s in a row. Or 1’s and 2’s, I suppose.

Also take note of that 9″ range on his Cry God For Harry, England and St. George! ability. Any Stormcast Eternal Units benefit from this, so, go Stardrakes and/or Dracoth friends.

At any rate, that’s a look at Lord-Celestant Gavriel Sureheart. You should be able to grab him this next weekend, and if you’re running Stormcast Eternals, he seems worth it.

Maybe just make sure to keep an extra helmet/facemask bit lying around–his hair is gorgeous, so I could see not wanting to cover that up.
