Geekery: A Series of Unfortunate Events Continues
Netflix took the show’s fans on a bit of a scavenger hunt yesterday starting on Twitter…
« There’s no happy endings,
not here and not now,
this Verse is all Fluctuation and woes,
you might dream that justice and peace win the day,
but that’s not how the Declaration goes (.com) » ?? pic.twitter.com/INXuvss5Hw— A Series of Unfortunate Events (@Unfortunate) January 1, 2018
That tweet leads to a website, which leads to a new trailer with a message from Count Olaf and some sharp objects…

The first season covered the first four books. Daniel Handler (aka Lemony Snicket himself) has said that the new season will cover the next five books in ten episodes; ending on The Carnivorous Carnival. A third season will wrap up the series. They’re trying to finish up quickly so the actors won’t literally grow out of their roles.
The orignal cast returns, and there will be some new faces. Lucy Punch (Esmé Squalor), Nathan Fillion (Jacques Snicket), Sara Rue (a Librarian), Roger Bart (Vice-Principal Nero), and Kitana Turnbull (Carmelita Spats) will be joining them.
Netflix released a few more hints in some stills, as well.
Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events premiere March 30 on Netflix.
