HORDES: Trollblood Troll Basher
The new troll beast is all about the bashing. Let’s break down the Troll Basher!
What is it?
This is a brand new warbeast for Trollbloods and is part of a new plastic kit. It cost 7 points and you can have as many as you want. This beast is a light so don’t expect him to be killing heavies but, he can pack a decent punch with some help from the Mauler’s animus or a warlock buff. He is in between a support beast and a solo with a lot more boxes. If you were looking to add some more cold effects to your Kolgrimma list this could be the beast for you.
What does the troll basher do?
The troll basher can chip away at heavier targets if he can get some Rage going. He really is just a cheap melee beast and a debuffer. His role seems to be charge into the middle of the enemy and cast his animus for defense lowering with Icy Breath. It’s hard to justify the 7 points in the list for the Basher. If you are depending on your infantry to do the heavy lifting like in a Madrak1 list he might fit in with the champions doing the real damage. With chiller up the champions will most likely hit anything they need to. He has a hard fight making it into lists crowded wit value options like the Axer, Impaler, Pyre troll, and Winter Troll in similar points and list versatility.
What’s a good list for a Troll Basher?
This list uses the Troll Basher as a defensive debuffer so Champions can hit anything that they get to. He can soak up some shots for Madrak to hide behind.

What Do I think Of The Troll Basher?
I like the idea but, don’t think the Troll Basher is anything to write home about.

He just has to much competition for the points in similar role’s for the trollblood light warbeast slots.
