40K: Adeptus Titanicus and Battlefleet Gothic Rumors
Adeptus Titanicus, the little big game that could, continues to rear its head with new rumors surfacing around its eventual release. Accompanying it this time are Battlefleet Gothic rumors.
Get out your salt shakers folks, there’s more grist for the rumormill today. According to “an anonymous, reliable source” over at Faeit 212, there are a bunch of rumors out today surrounding these two games. Apparently Battlefleet Gothic is going to get a Necromunda-esque release, and Adeptus Titanicus…exists. Check it out!

Just heard some interesting things concerning Titanicus and Battlefleet gothic. Source is reliable
Titanicus
- Coming out this year
- Warlord will be the size of a knight: the warlord is the size of a knight I mean standard gw knight so roughly six inches tall.
- All titans will be released and all knights in gw and forge world range
- All in plastic
- No epic in the works
Battlefleet gothic
- Horus heresy set
- Same model as necromunda e.g. Base models gw with forge world upgrades.
- All legions with Imperial fleet.
- If popular will expand to 41st millennium
Again, there’s not much confirmation here, so more than a little salt is in order. However, there are a few things that make sense here. The one I think is most likely to be true is the Battlefleet Gothic rumor–that Necromunda model, which is GW releases the base sets, and Forgeworld releases the upgrades–seems to be working really well for the game.
I could see setting it during the Heresy era as a good way to test it and gauge interest, but BfG seems so iconic when you think about Imperial battlecruisers vs. Aeldari cheatships–so stepping back 10,000 years and reducing it to Imperial vs. Imperial seems like it might be a bit of a stretch.
I also definitely believe that there is no epic in the works–and getting a Knight-Sized Warlord Titan definitely makes sense as far as how you’d release a game about Titans without appealing only to the people who have enough disposable income to buy several titans–which is great because they’re busy sitting around in linen suits asking someone if they’ve ever hunted the most dangerous game in an ominous threatening manner anyway.
Grain of salt aside though, what do you think of these rumors? Which ones do you think will pan out?
