Geekery: A Real Trailer for the Han Solo Solo Movie

This new trailer feels like its showing off a movie. It has a Millenium Falcon that doesn’t look like a hunk of junk speeding through space, a team of smugglers with character, a bad guy, and a surprise Wookie cameo.

If you’ve watched the horrible Christmas special, you might recognize someone in here. If you haven’t seen the Christmas special, good for you.

I’m not going commit to saying it’s going to be a great movie, but I will say that this trailer makes it look like it could be good despite all of the reshoots and production drama. It looks like a Star Wars movie, and it has some of Han’s swagger even if the actor in the leading role is a bit flat. I’m still not convinced Aiden Ehrenreich is right for it. I think he’s going to be the hardest to sell to audiences.

What this trailer tells me for certain is that we really need a Donald Glover as Lando movie. I’ll keep saying that till we get one. Someday.
