RPG: Top Secret: NWO – Espionage Comes To The Tabletop
Welcome to ICON, the International Covert Operatives Network–you are about to become an agent’s agent. When a mission crops up that is too tough for even the doublest of O’s, ICON’s operatives are there to get the job done.
The more things change, the more they stay the same. Back in 1980, Merle Rasmussen wrote Top Secret, the first Espionage RPG for Tactical Studies Rules aka TSR, and brought spies and explosions and cars and gadgets to a world fraught with tension between the U.S. and Russia. Now, in 2018, Merle Rasmussen has written Top Secret: New World Order (another espionage game) for TSR Inc., bringing spies and explosions and cars and gadgets back to a world fraught with familiar tensions…
At any rate, Top Secret: New World Order was a reasonably successful Kickstarter game from a year ago–and now that it has shipped to its backers, you can find it hitting the internet and your FLGS. So if you’re looking for an Espionage game somewhere on the spectrum from Archer to James Bond rather than, say, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, this system seems like a great place find a covert mission. Should you choose to accept it.

Your mission: preserve peace and stability in a world rife with conflict, mistrust, duplicity, and shadowy organizations.
You are an agent of ICON: The International Covert Operatives Network. You have been recruited from your former life, trained in the ways of tradecraft, and sent into the field to handle the missions that other agencies cannot, or will not handle.
One player is the Administrator, describing and controlling the game world, while the other players take on the role of international spies, working behind the scenes where governments won’t go.
Tense negotiations, dangerous combat, thrilling car chases, tradecraft, surveillance, intrigue, and subterfuge are all at hand with the roll of the dice.
