Games Workshop has confirmed that the Imperial Knight Codex is getting a new Freeblade Character with the Chainbreaker himself – Sir Hekhtur and his trusty Canis Rex!

We got rumors about this new Character for the Imperial Knights and then we saw the pictures online. Now Games Workshop has confirmed the arrival of Sir Hekhtur and Canis Rex (and also some of those rumors).

“We already knew that Codex: Imperial Knights was on its way with a range of deadly new bipedal war machines in tow, and today we find out that this glorious knightly charge is due to be led by the very first dedicated Imperial Knights unique character.”

“The model even comes with a miniature of Sir Hekhtur, on foot and enthroned, the first time we’ve seen a Knight pilot model in plastic. You can even use him in your games – if his steed is slain, Sir Hekhtur may fight on with his archaeotech pistol!”

Not only are Knights getting their first ever special Character, did you notice what else GW confirmed? That if Sir Hekhtur is ever “dismounted” from his trusty steed, he will be able to fight on foot – with his ARCHAEOTECH pistol!

We’re looking forward to what else GW releases with the Knight book. That weapon is clearly different from anything else on the sprue in the current Knight kit – plus we’re likely getting a combo box with this new sprue, the model of Hekhtur and everything else for the Knight. That’s 1 new kit for sure. Plus the new Castellen, too. That’s 2 kits. PLUS we’re expecting to see an Armiger kit to round out the kit from Forgebane – that’s at LEAST 3 new kits.

Compared to the other two codexes in this wave, the Knights have been the BIG deal of the trio. And we say “Bring on the Warmachines!!!”

This ain’t a small splash release…Are you ready for a new wave of Knights?
