Geekery: ‘John Wick 3’ Casting News – This is Going to be Amazing
The third installment of the series is filming now in NYC, and the cast is filling out as scenes are filmed. The most recent additions say a lot about where this movie is headed, and it’s exciting.
Most of the original cast is returning – if their character is still alive. With every new movie comes new additions; newly confirmed cast members:
- Halle Berry
- Hiroyuki Sanada (most recently seen in Westworld)
- Anjelica Huston
- Asia Kate Dillon (Billions)
- John Mantzoukas (Brooklyn Nine-Nine)
- Mark Dacascos (Brotherhood of the Wolf)
- Yayan Ruhian (The Raid series)
- Cecep Arif Rahman (The Raid 2)
- Tiger Hu Chen (long time stunt performer – The Matrix trilogy & Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon)
That’s a lot of top notch martial arts talent. I was looking forward to this before – now I’m super excited. The Wick movies have cemented themselves as action classics due to the work the actors, stunt performers, and choreographers put in to thier fight sequences. These new cast members are only going to add to that.
