40K: The Best General Podcast, Passive-Aggressive-Reactive
‘Ere we go! In this episode, Adam sits down with The Brown Magic crew, 40K champions Nick Nanavati and Matt Root to discuss aggressive vs passive/reactive play styles and list design leading into the new post-FAQ meta.
Just before the Louisiana State Championships, I chatted with Nick Nanavati of The Brown Magic for some list consultation. The list he prescribed had a lot of models and units in it that I didn’t own, and I couldn’t implement in time for the event. But, he did recommend a Guard Command Point Battery and it actually really worked. My plan was always to have him back on the show to discuss the list he prescribed but then the FAQ happened and I had to table that conversation as the nature of it, obviously, totally, completely shifted. I’ve made a lot of changes to my list in the weeks since and I figured I’d have Nick and his new partner at The Brown Magic, Matt Root on the show. Matt is every bit as talented a player as Nick considering he’s also a former ITC Champion and Adepticon winner. Considering the two have vastly different play styles that have lead to their success on the table, I wanted to see where their heads were at with list design, the meta, and how they could help me…
