Star Wars is filled with iconic units and Fantasy Flight Games has released two of the most iconic units from the universe to the tabletops of Legion. Come take a look inside the Snowtroopers & Fleet Troopers Unit Expansion!

Troops are the backbone of any fighting force and both the Rebels and the Empire have gotten some pretty great trooper expansions with these two units:

A Cold Day In Hoth

The Snowtroopers are another iconic Star Wars unit ported over from the silver screen to your tabletop. They bring a deadly wave of blaster fire with them when they march across the field. Cold, calculating and efficient, Snowtroopers get the job done with their ability to aim, move and fire thanks to their Steady Ability:

They also bring some pretty nasty weapon upgrades along for the mission too:

In Space, No One Can Hear You PEW-PEW-PEW

The Fleet Troopers might have some of the strangest head-gear in all of Star Wars, but they were also a lot of fans first look at the people who lived in a galaxy far, far away. They have proven to be a pretty popular addition to the game already and are currently sold out from FFG. You might be able to find some still at your FLGS – if you’re lucky. But what makes these Troopers so good?

The big bonus these guys have is their Blasters (while shorter range) generate two white dice per attack. On a per-model basis these guys put out a ton of shots vs comparable unit options. Combine that with their weapon upgrades (and a commander who can make the most of them) and you’ve got a pretty deadly unit.

No matter how dangerous the freezing temperatures on a planet, you’ll find that your Snowtroopers are equipped to handle the killing cold with ease. Within the Snowtroopers Unit Expansion for Star Wars™: Legion, you’ll find seven unpainted Snowtrooper miniatures, inviting you to field these troopers as a single unit and combat the Rebellion in even the most hostile and adverse environments. Alongside these Snowtroopers, you’ll find an assortment of upgrade cards, inviting you to kit out your Snowtroopers for whatever you expect to face on the field of battle.

Fleet Troopers Unit Expansion $24.95

From the opening shots of A New Hope, we’re introduced to an ongoing space battle as a massive Star Destroyer closes in on a tiny corvette. The first characters we see within the beleaguered Tantive IV are C-3PO and R2-D2, but only moments later, we witness a squad of troopers dashing down the hallway to defend Leia Organa’s starship against the Imperial boarding party. With this Unit Expansion, you can bring those soldiers’ dedication and readiness for battle to your games of Star Wars: Legion.

The Fleet Troopers Unit Expansion immediately expands the options available to your Rebel armies with seven unpainted, easily assembled Fleet Trooper miniatures. An assortment of upgrade cards lets you customize your Fleet Troopers to match the battles you expect to face. After all, whether you’re battling in the tight corridors of a starship or on a more open battlefield, your Fleet Troopers can make the difference in your fights. Releasing alongside the Leia Organa Commander Expansion, these two expansions promise to shake up Rebel Alliance tactics for Star Wars: Legion.
