D&D: Coming Soon To A D&D Near You
Hot off the internet: those special edition Core Books have a release date–and so do a whole bunch of other books that nobody knew were in the works. Come see what’s coming up for D&D.
The holidays are already upon us, with the dread spectre of mirth and cheer reaching back even unto July. In the spirit of that fell tradition, the Wizards of the Coast have unleashed upon the unsuspecting masses their guide to gifts, due out in the coming season. Starting with the upcoming Todd James designed coloring book, and continuing on through the special edition core gift set, there are a number of new products coming out that portend glad tidings to the storytellers in your life.

It’s never too early to get ready for the holiday season, and Dungeons & Dragons has something for all of the imaginative storytellers on your list!
D&D fans young and old will have plenty to celebrate this year, with exciting releases including a new adventure book and accompanying dice set, a coloring book from artist Todd James, a kids’ guide to D&D, and a Special Edition Core Rulebooks Gift Set, with alternate covers designed by Hydro74, housed in a beautiful slipcase.
Now interestingly enough, in addition to the Special Edition covers, they’re also releasing a core book bundle, giving you two options to get someone new into D&D. Interestingly enough though, the Special Edition covers will be available in game stores only. So if you want a copy you’ll have to head down to your favorite core FLGS.

Those of you who took the Observant feat will also notice the ABC’s and 123’s of D&D. As the name implies, these books are aimed at children, offering them a path into the world of Dungeons and Dragons, even as they learn things like ‘how to read’ or ‘object permanence’ (still working on that one myself).
