Your descent into madness has taken you far into the wilds of Arkham Horror: The Card Game! In The Forgotten Age, you took part in a scientific expedition that brought you to the dark rainforests of Central America in search of a lost Aztec city, but what you uncovered has set a series of events in motion that puts the entire world at risk. As The Forgotten Agecycle progresses, you must learn as much as you can about the dangers you unleashed to undo your mistake and save the Earth from a terrible fate. Now, your mission has brought you to a monster-filled chasm where the only way out is down.

This latest adventure follows up the events of The City of Archives. While you can play this as a stand alone adventure, it continues the story as you find yourself on the precipice of cavern. This cavern is bottomless, of course, yet you do see a red glow far below. Could this be your way out? And what’s that strange, animal-like sound? Time to head further into the labyrinth of caverns to find out…
This new Mythos Pack introduces some interesting mechanics to the game. You’re traveling down these dark and cavernous areas with enemies just out of reach. To highlight the stress, the game introduces the “Pursuit Area” – the enemies here are out of play…for now. But if you stop moving or draw an encounter card, they just might catch-up to you with some dire results.
To further complicate matters, the deeper you go, the stronger some enemies can become. But the answers you seek are at the bottom – and so is the way forward…
Outrun Your Enemy
Fortunately for the investigators not everything in the Mythos Pack is bad news. There are some more tools to help you in your fight against the unknowable. Powerful artifacts are here to help if you choose to risk using them.
