Geekery: SDCC – Shazam, Aquaman, & the Vampire Slayer


A lot of news and trailers dropped at San Diego Comic Con over the weekend. This was definitely DC’s con – new movies, live action TV announcements, and some new animated projects fans have been waiting on for years.
Starting with the quick takes, then the trailers…
- Buffy the Vampire Slayer is being rebooted – Joss Whedon is involved
- Batman: The Animated Series is getting a blu-ray release this fall
- Batman: Hush is getting an animated movie
- Supergirl will feature a transgender superhero next season
- Into the Spider-Verse is going to include Spider-Man Noir (Nic Cage), Peter Porker, & Spider-Ham (John Mulaney)
- Roswell is getting a reboot
- Marvel is making a new Vision Miniseries
- Lobo will make an appearance in Krypton
Aquaman – hits theaters December 21st
Shazam! – hits theaters April 5 next year
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindewald – hits theaters November 16th
The Dragon Prince – releases on Netflix September 14th
Disenchantment – releases on Netflix August 17th
Black Lightning Season 2 – drops on October 9th on the CW
