Yup, there’s some word on the rumorvine on what the future holds for these two.

Let’s break these down sets of rumors individually boys and girls:

Adeptus Titanicus

We’ve already seen all the launch items for these at Warhammer Fest back in May. Industry insiders say to note that not only were the miniatures complete, but GW showed off packaging as well. Thet report smart money says to look for a Q3 launch for the game (August-September most probably). There is also a good chance of Titanicus being the “big game” being shown off at GENCON in Indianapolis in august, just as Shadespire got the spotlight last year. It is certainly visually impressive and would make a big publicity splash. BoLS will be on the floor of the event and we you can bet if there is a Titanicus demo to be had, we’ll get it filmed for you all!

Shadespire

Shadepire is getting some new cards and a third game board tile this week. We already have a decent set of warbands but insiders say to look for a refresh of the game in late Q3-early Q4. It’s a but fuzzy if this is a Shadespire 2, a new 2018 starter box, or just a new release wave of warbands. GW is said to be adding a new 4-6 warbands to the blighted city. These names have been bandied about:

  • Stormcast Eternals (the new ones)
  • Nurgle Mortals
  • Kharadron Overlords
  • Nighthaunts
  • Disciples of Tzeentch
  • Aelves (unknown sub-faction)

I really like Shadespire and am happy to see these set of rumors. The game has rock-solid rules, plays lightning fast, and is expanding GW’s game design in a new more casual – mass market direction. It’s a perfectly designed gateway drug into the Age of Sigmar universe for the skirmish-boardgamers out there. I hope to see it grow into a big thing in the years ahead.

~As for Titanicus – just take the paycheck and leave the minis. I’m ready!
