Today on Tabletop Spotlight: an adventure set in the City of Splendors, full of new ideas, new magic items, new monsters, and a half a million gold piece bounty at the heart of it all. Join us today for Waterdeep: Dragon Heist.

Waterdeep: Dragon Heist is the newest adventure from Wizards of the Coast, and we’ve been talking about it a bit on the site so far–but today you can find the folks from Dragon’s Lair here to tell you what they think of the race for the treasure set in the City of Splendor. So grab your goldfish food and hope that Xanathar doesn’t realize that you’ve replaced his favorite fish, because it’s time to venture into Waterdeep: Dragon Heist.

But we’ve also got a look at the new Waterdeep: Dragon Heist Minis from GF9 here as well. You get a whole bunch of fancy new miniatures that are specifically done for Waterdeep, which include the miniatures featured in the video, but all of the other characters as well. Everything you’d need to run a game set in Waterdeep, and also specifically the Dragon Heist campaign–but in the campaign you’ll find NPCs and monsters that fit into any campaign. Jarlaxle Baenrae is an icon of villainy, and there are limitless possibilities for involving the City Watch and agents of Xanathar’s nefarious guild.

We’ve reviewed Waterdeep: Dragon Heist ourselves, so you can read a little more in depth about the book over there. Find out why we love this book, not just as a campaign, but as a setting and a guide for putting together your own Urban Adventures. There’s a lot this book has to offer any GM. From its guidelines for running urban adventures, to running specific factions and figuring out ways to integrate them into your campaign–there’s a lot you can play around with. So if you haven’t yet, check out…
