Age Of Sigmar Champions: Wave 2 – Onslaught Announced
Age of Sigmar Champions, the Warhammer CCG is getting new champions, new blessings, and a new expansion coming in November.
That’s right folks, announced late last week, Age of Sigmar ideas getting an Expansion come the end of November. Onslaught is the name, and from the look of the packs, Nighthaunts are the game. You can see Lady Olynder on the cover of the newly revealed Booster Packs, along with many a grim grinning ghost.
The announcement came out via Twitter with previous few details, other than coming soon, and a teaser that seems to hint at neutral blessings.
Due to the excitement of our announcement yesterday, our community team promised an extra reveal today. Here is something coming with #Onslaught. What could this mean? #AoSChampions 💭 pic.twitter.com/DU0PmonSJa

But a little internet sleuthing has turned up a release date, November 27th, according to distributor PHD Games.

The new Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions TCG has been a huge hit, and this November, players will be able to expand their collections with the new cards coming in the Onslaught booster-pack expansion! Each booster pack of this Wave 2 set will include 13 cards, including one guaranteed foil card that can be of any rarity!
The game has already been making waves with its digital/tabletop model, in which cards you collect in this realm of bones and meat translate over to the realm of pure thought, information, and singles ads that is the Information Superhighway through the magic of a special QR code in each pack.
So whether you’re playing AoS: Champions via the app or with actual people, you’ll be able to bring the full might of your deckbuilding to bear. We’re curious to see how the game expands. It looks like this wave will be about bringing more factions into the game, which in turn might spark more interest in them in other forms. Though I’ve got my fingers crossed that anything will see the Seraphon get some attention.
At any rate, the November 3-5 weekender will feature a tournament, and I’d be surprised if we don’t see more about Onslaught right around that weekend.
What faction are you hoping to see added to the game?
