Star Wars: Destiny is getting a new 160 card expansion and today we’re getting a look at what you can do if you commit to the Dark Side and join forces with a Sith Lord. Witness the terror of Darth Vader!

Across the Galaxy is the new expansion coming out in November for Star Wars: Destiny. Heroes and Villains from all over the Star Wars franchise will be brought to the tabletop in this exciting hybrid card/dice game. Today, we’re getting a closer look at one such villain. Everyone know the iconic sound of his breathing device and now you’ll get to hear the sound of panic and fear spread as he hits the tabletop. Meet Darth Vader!

Darth Vader has a terrifying reputation for a reason. Should you find yourself in the Sith Lord’s crosshairs, he will hunt you across the galaxy using the power of the Force and pure terror.

Darth Vader is a BEAST. One of the more expensive character options, it’s with good reason! He hits like a truck and gets even deadlier with the right load out. On top of that, if you’re targeted by abilities that remove dice from the pool, you can discard a card to bring those dice BACK! There truly is no escape from Vader.

Vader’s Lightsaber is almost as iconic as he is – after-all, what would that sleek black armor be without that ruby red glow? In Destiny, Vader’s Lightsaber is a brutal upgrade. Not only does it pump out the melee damage, it lets you re-roll a die AND if it’s on Vader, get ready for even more damage.

The notorious 501st Legion is also known as Vader’s Fist. And if you can manage it right, you can actually roll this one out THREE times in one turn. Considering the amount of damage showing on the card, that could very easily overwhelm any opponent!

Because of Vader’s point cost, it’s not uncommon for him to be out numbered. Why not cut that lead down a bit with Fear and Dead Men – an event that allows you to select a damage die and deal that for free to each opponent’s characters.

Or if you manage to hold out long enough for them to be exhausted, why not use Deadly Advance to swap around your dice to melee facing and go to town!

Look, not even Vader is invincible. Sometimes, you just need a spa day to recover and in Vader’s case, he brings his own chamber where ever he goes! This is a pretty great card not only for healing but also to combat against mill abilities. Plus you can use this in conjunction with Vader to draw a card.

Finally, we have Endow – this card will allow you play any number of Blue upgrade cards from your hand and roll them into your die pool. Sure, you have to pay their costs, but if you played this on a swing turn that could really help you strike even harder on a unsuspecting opponent!

Darth Vader and the rest of these cards will be available in November when this set launches. Get ready to travel ‘Across the Galaxy’ with this new expansion!

Across the Galaxy $2.99 (per booster pack)

Across the Galaxy brings the characters of Solo: A Star Wars Story to Star Wars: Destiny. Before he was a hero of the Rebellion, Han Solo was a cocky young pirate just looking for a little adventure. With a crew of like-minded individuals that includes Lando Calrissian and Tobias Beckett, the dashing young rogue finds his way to Star Wars: Destiny.

Across the Galaxy finishes the block started by Legacies and expands on its themes. Look for Plot Cards with negative point values, cards that grow stronger when you spot specific characters, and new ways to upgrade some of the most famous vehicles in the galaxy.

You don’t know the POWER of the Dark Side.
