It’s the weekend, which means it’s time to play some video games–fortunately, Adeptus Mechanicus has launched! On top of that, have a look at Macragge’s Honour, soon available in Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2.

It’s the weekend, which means it’s time to kick back and unwind–time to put on your comfiest robes and chart the movement of 13 dread and unnamed stars, wondering if tonight is the night when the stars align and the great dreaming presence that slumbers deep beneath the earth and stones, whose fevered dreams have driven you to build a monument of chalcedony to better prepare the place where the yawning maw will first open…or if you, like me, realize you left your robes at the dry cleaners, you could probably just play some video games.

Which is great, because this week is launch week for 40K: Adeptus Mechanicus, and it would just be terrible if a cataclysmic being that has lain not dead, nor asleep, since before the time when the seas drank Atlantis were to waken and swallow us all.

If you haven’t heard anything about this, and the trailer interests you–here’s a quick look at customization and exploration in the game.

Basically, the game combines the tactical squad-based gameplay of an X-COM with some rogue-like elements as you race against a clock of the Necron Tomb World awakening. Stave off annihilation while managing to (probably) not commit tech-heresy.

But if that’s not enough for you–more video game news, this time travelling to the depths of space, where many an armada is doing battle with a gothic fleet too. Er. Where Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2 is nearing its release and celebrating this with a showcase of the Ultramarine Flagshipm, Macragge’s Honour.

This is a massive Glorianna class battlecruiser, capable of withstanding a withering amount of firepower before its shields show even the slightest sign of buckling.

As Darkwing Duck would say, let’s get dangerous.

Whether you’re functioning as proxy for a team of tech-priests or commanding the fleets of the Imperium, have a good weekend!
