Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon by Awaken Realms
This biggest campaign this week is Tainted Grail, the latest board game project by Awaken Realms. Up to four players embark on a journey through a grim world inspired by Arthurian myths and Celtic folklore in this narrative-driven survival game. The main focus of Tainted Grail is it’s 15-chapter long story full of branching paths and difficult decisions that promises around 30-40 hours of content for your group to play through. Pledges start at $89 for the core box.
Ogre Battlefields by Steve Jackson Games
Another big campaign this week is a new expansion for Steve Jackson’s classic sci-fi wargame, Ogre. The Battlefields expansion adds two giant double-sided maps complete with special scenarios and new units that are compatible with Ogre Sixth Edition and Ogre Designer’s Edition. There’s also a revamped rulebook with the most current version of Ogre’s rules. Some of the stretch goals include new “skins” to represent some of the other factions in the Ogre universe. You can buy the new expansion for $60.
Nemo’s War by Victory Point Games
Next up is a pair of new expansions for Victory Point Games’ popular Nemo’s War: Second Edition, a narrative-driven solitaire board game inspired by the world of 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. The first of these expansions is Bold and Caring, and adds two new motives for Nemo. The second expansion, Dramatis Personae, adds nine new adventure cards and a new finale. You can buy both new expansions for $12.
King’s Forge: Masterworks by Game Salute
Finally, we come to Masterworks, the latest expansion to the dice-driven item crafting game, King’s Forge. This expansion adds four new exotic materials and plenty of new items to craft to impress your clients. There’s also a new mechanic called the Griffin’s Landing. This new area brings in distinguished visitors that players can compete over to gain powerful buffs. The Masterworks expansion will cost you $25.
