Wrath And Rapture Rules Get A Little Khorne-y
Today we take a look at what the legions of Khorne have to offer in Wrath and Rapture. Flesh, Blood… but curiously, precious few skulls for the skull throne.
Time to focus on the Wrath aspect of Wrath and Rapture. Khorne’s legions are powered by their unceasing rage and thirst for blood for their blood god, and skulls for his skull throne. And the Daemonic hosts of Khorne are getting a few tweaks in Wrath and Rapture–let’s take a look at what’s changed in the new box.

We’ll start with Karanak, first among flesh hounds. Now Khorne’s favorite good boy hasn’t changed too much in 40K, but in Age of Sigmar, he’s ramped up to become a fearsome foe indeed, sporting a few new rules that reflect his position as leader of the Hunt.
Karanak comes with some Flesh Hound friends now, if you can get to within 8″ of your quarry–which is a great place to be because you reroll charges, so will almost certainly get in afterwards. And you’ll want to do that to take advantage of Karanak’s new melee weapon profile.
But Karanak isn’t the only Flesh Hound getting a spicy new upgrade. Flesh Hounds now can be led by a Gore Hound, who comes with a Flamer, basically.
That’s the Flesh side of Khorne’s forces, now we move onto Blood. Specifically Bloodcrushers and Bloodletters. Blood Crushers are getting a buff (and apparently a new datasheet in Wrath and Rapture) which changes them to match their Age of Sigmar profile–they now have 4 wounds each, which feels like a sorely needed buff.
Wrath and Rapture also features a mob of Bloodletters, who are the same as they ever were. With massive swords and +1 to hit when in groups of 20 or more, they’re a deadly cleaving force if they can just manage to make it to the enemy.
That’s it for Wrath and Rapture for now–it’ll be out for pre-order soon, so be sure and check back this weekend for more news of its release!
