40K: FAQs Land For Vigilus, Wrath And Rapture, Chapter Approved
Exactly what it says on the tin folks, FAQs and Errata are out for Chapter Approved 2018, Wrath and Rapture, and Vigilus Defiant. Come take a look.
Alright friends, it’s FAQ time, the newest kids on the block are getting some attention from the designers, and bringing with them clarifications about things like Specialist Detachment Stratagems, Sisters of Battle Beta Rules, and whether your Flesh Hounds’ bark is worse than its bite. So let’s strap in, and take a look at the latest FAQs to come out of GW.

First up we’ve got the FAQ and Errata for Realms of Chaos: Wrath and Rapture. This one’s pretty easy, the only big change is that the Flesh Hounds have a change to burning roar, bringing it from Assault 1 to Assault d6. Now it’s actually just a flamethrower, and since they only come on the Flesh Hounds “sergeant upgrade” it’s not as big an increase as you’d think, but it’s still nice to have.
Meanwhile Vigilus Defiant has a number of clarifications and questions surrounding its new Specialist Detachment rules, as well as the Victrix Honour Guard…
Makes sense for a bodyguard unit that might contain multiple models–they only get one chance to stand in the way of that Lascannon, so if one of the Victrix happened to check his Instagram feed at the time, your character is still taking the hit.
Meanwhile the Black Templars’ holy hand grenade saw some adjustments…
…but still dishing out d5 d3 mortal wounds is pretty spicy.
And the Craftworld and Ynnari continue to drift slightly apart. Ynnari cannot benefit from this exclusively Craftworld stratagem. Whether this signifies a larger shift for the Ynnari down the line I’ll leave to you–but for now let’s take a look at Chapter Approved: 2018.
First up the Long Bomb stratagem sees some adjustments:
And there are a few points tweaks to Space Wolves Units and some Ork wargear/units. Chapter Approved 2018 also introduced the new Acceptable Casualties rule, which makes it possible for you to win the game, even if your army is destroyed. Understandably, this also raised some questions:
And finally the Sisters of Battle come under the attention of the FAQ, with some clarifications to how their Beta Codex and Index interact with one another:
You can read all of the FAQs below–nothing huge this go around, but there are some important rules tweaks for all. So check ’em out folks.
