40K: Genestealer Cults Pop Up On Manchester Wall
Beautiful heresy has popped up on a Manchester wall with an amazing graffiti mural of the GSC’s infamous Kelermorph displayed for all the world to see. Truly Ascension Day is at hand.
They say you’ll often see heretical signs and sigils pop up on worlds the Genestealer Cults have infiltrated, and that as their grip on a world tightens their heresy grows more open and brazen. Heretical symbols will be displayed in open defiance of the Imperium, with an ever more infected populace clamoring at these graven images.
So it is in Manchester, where street artist Chris Howker has created a spray painted mural of one of the new Genestealer Cults characters. Star of both stage and screen Kill Team Arena and Warhammer 40k, Starn, the three-armed gunslinger is a striking figure. The Kelermorph is hailed as a hero by those who struggle under the jackbooted heels of the Imperium. So it’s little wonder that icons such as this might be on display to inspire people to the cult’s heretical ideals.
Brazen heresy aside, you have to admit, this mural is quite stunning. It’s fantastic to see how widespread the appeal of 40k is getting. This sort of display is inspiring in more ways than one. Not only is it a great piece of art (and a sign that the Inquisition should probably be called on Manchester), it’s also an excellent bit of inspiration that you could adapt to your terrain.
If you recall, late last year we looked at how you can transform Propaganda posters into terrain decals with very little work. This is a great candidate to reflect a world on the cusp of being overrun with Genestealer Cults.
Either way, if you live out there, be sure an keep an eye out for this stunning mural. And maybe watch out for any Exterminatus-happy Imperials while you’re at it.
What do you think folks? Has Manchester been inflated by Genestealer Cultists? How far has their heresy spread?
