Geekery: First Trailer for ‘The Bouncer’ – Van Damme’s Latest Action Movie

The Bouncer focuses on a weary bouncer/bodyguard that’s forced to cooperate with the police to stay out of jail. He is tasked with infiltrating a dangerous gang led by a Flemish mob boss in order to gain his freedom, and secure custody of his daughter. It looks like it has some hard hitting fight scenes. It was released in France last year as Lukas. It has been described as Van Damme’s best performance since JCVD, and it has him returning to his action star roots. If you’re already a fan of the actor or like brooding stories about aging tough guys, it looks like this movie is a sure bet.

The Bouncer is available on VOD and select theaters now.
