Numenera is an RPG about exploring impossibly ancient and at the same time impossibly advanced ruins, and finding a place in a world that has lost context of everything but the present. It can be a ton of fun, though it does take some learning to figure out the Cypher system, and in retrospect the name of it should probably have been the first clue there. The most recent updates to the game: Numenera Discover and Destiny added some much needed clarifications to the game, and gave it a sense of purpose besides “aren’t things weird sometimes.”
All of this to say, it’s a fun game that’s worth checking out–and never has it been worth checking out more than as a part of this Humble Bundle, when the barrier to entry is at basically an all time low, and if you jump in, your purchase goes to charity anyway.
