Fantasy Flight Games is showing off the new trio of ships coming for the new Separatist Alliance. Meet General Grievous and his two droid wing-bots in the Servants of Strife!

The next wave of Star Wars: X-Wing ships is on the horizon and with it more Factions are on the way. Today we’re taking a look at the new ships coming with the Separatist Alliance. You might remember these from the Prequel Trilogy as the faction that included the Sith Lords and General Grievous.

Combining the incredible power of a Belbullab-22 starfighter with the advanced technology of two Vulture-class droid fighters, this Squadron Pack is the perfect place to begin building your Separatist Alliance squadrons, whether you’re a veteran player or you just have a Core Set. Both ships offer utterly unique playstyles that help define the Separatists as a faction comfortable fielding large swarms of disposable fighters and heavily-armed ships in equal measure.

The Belbullab-22

The squadron pack contains five different ship cards for the Belbullab-22. So let’s dive in and meet some of the pilots!

Overall, it’s certainly on par with many of the typical starfighters in the game. The dial’s not bad, but it’s not the most maneuverable ship in the game either. The real beauty of this ship is running it with others to get the most out of all the ships in your squadron.

What’s up with those extra dots? Good question! Those are the first fighters in the game that will be 2 and 3 limited! Meaning, you can include 2 or 3 of them in a squadron (based on the number of dots by their names). Kind of a cool distinction. These ships are piloted by droids so they are capable of performing some pretty intense moves – like the 1 speed K-Turn or a 2 speed talon roll. Pretty impressive!

Also, one of the cool features about the Vultures is their Networked Calculations. This ability lets them spend calculate tokens from friendly ships at range 0-1. If you can flight a swarm of these in a tight formation they will be able to really boost each other’s ships.

Servants of Strife Squadron Pack $39.95

War! The Separatist Alliance has driven a spike into the heart of the galaxy, splintering the once-unified worlds with choas, tyranny, and fear. At the heart of this offensive is the dastardly General Grievous, commanding endless legions of droid fighters.

Swarms of networked Vulture-class fighters commanded by tactical droids strike at innocent worlds, forcing the Republic on the defensive. All the while, Grievous slinks through the shadows in his customized Belbullab-22 Starfighter; hunting the Jedi at every turn.

This Squadron Pack contains everything you need to add one Belbullab-22 Starfighter and two Vulture-class Droid Fighter ships to your games of X-Wing, including new ship and upgrade cards, three maneuver dials, and an array of tokens.
