The new Noctilith model might take you to other worlds if you can get all seven Chevrons locked in. But it’s also much bigger than you might expect. Come take a look at this daemonic gate, plus Alpha Legion rules preview!

Here we go friends. It’s the weekend and that means it’s time to curl up with a nice glass of warm milk, a good, hearty book by Dostoevsky, and get ready to–holy cow what in the heck look at the size of that thing–is that even REAL?

Seriously though, the new Noctilith Model is huge. You don’t really get a sense of its scale from its preview images, and then you see it on the table, next to some Daemonic friends, and its sheer size really sinks in. So much for your Sunday plans.

This thing is massive. It’s not every day you can say “could conceivably fit a Great Unclean One through it” about a model of any kind. And yet that’s exactly what you’ll be doing with this spikey stargate.

We have here a look at its rules–and the Noctilith Crown does a fair amount for those players hoping to wield the ruinous powers. It makes it more likely for your enemies to imperil themselves when calling upon the Warp, grants a Daemonic invulnerable save to units nearby, and will slowly spread across the battlefield, giving you a huge zone of control.

A zone of control that a legion like the Alpha Legion might be all about. Here’s a look at what they do, courtesy of Warhammer Community.

First up, here’s their new specialist detachment, Cult of the Damned, which lets you get a little more out of Dark Apostles, Dark Disciples, and Chaos Cultists. If you thought a Genestealer Cultist uprising was bad–Alpha Legion’s here to show you how to do it right.

Their new Specialist Detachment is all about the synergy of the new Dark Apostle model and its Cultists. Now your Chaos Cultists can stand in for Dark Disciples in buffing your Dark Apostles–if you have a command point to spend–which is good, because those points on Dark Disciples can go to more Cultists, which are the troop backbone of any good Chaos Army. Your Dark Apostle can grant them new powers, like Soultearer Portent or Illusory Supplication.

All in all, some solid buffs that can really shore up your army no matter which unit you’re tossing it on.

I’d watch Stargate 40,000… that one’s free, Syfy…
