AoS: Thundrik’s Profiteers – Warband Focus
The Kharadron Overlords will go to any depths to find a profit–even the shadowed vaults of the Mirrored City. Come meet Thundrik’s Profiteers.
Thundrik’s Profiteers are a band of Kharadron Overlords who have come armed to the teeth with their aethermatic firepower, deadly skyhooks, and the incredible power of synergy. Seriously though, this warband thrives off of teamwork, proving that the real victory was the friends we made along the way. They are a sturdy band with some halfway-decent firepower, but they shine brightest when you can score objectives (because that’s the only way you’ll Inspire your fighters). Let’s take a look.

Let’s get right down to it and meet our dwarfy dudes. First up, Bjorgen Thundrik, leader of the Profiteers and businessman par excellence.
The lynchpin of Thundrik’s Profiteers is this excellent Leader. As a ranged fighter, he’s a reliable damage-dealer, but his strengths truly lie in his extra abilities. Thundrik can transform hexes next to him into lethal hexes for an activation, allowing him to shield himself from enemy charges or set up deadly traps. Meanwhile, his Promotion ability lets you Inspire fighters of your choice when you score objectives. Make sure to keep this guy alive and at arm’s length from the enemy at all times.
Then there’s Dead-Eye Lund, who will absolutely destroy foes at range. When Inspired, he’s got 2 damage and Cleave at range–which makes him perfect for punching above your weight.
Enrik Ironhail is no slouch either. His attacks are a bit less consistent–but when you get those critical successes, that volley gun will be cleaning up.
Khazgan Drakkskewer is your hunter. With his Skypike and pistol, he’s definitely better up close–and his ability lets him get where he needs to be. Even uninspired he hits hard and fights fiercely. Even his “melee” attack has range.
Last but certainly not least is Garodd Alensen, who is the frontline of your forces. He’s there to soak up damage, and we like to think of him as the Intern of the group.
As you might imagine, scoring objectives early and often is a huge part of the Profiteer’s whole deal. You need the boost you get from them to give your fighters their full worth–and as you might expect, their new deck is full of ways to score objectives, especially when you go on the offensive.
The other big thing that the Profiteers are all about is efficiency. With cards that let you do extra damage or maneuver more out of normal activation order, you’ll be able to help get the most value out of your 12 activations.
And that’s Thundrik’s Profiteers! Look for them to be up for Pre-Order this weekend!
