Goatboy’s 40K Crazy Army: Steeds for Days
Goatboy here again and I chatted a little bit about the wacky list idea I had this past Monday – All Slaanesh Steeds all the time. Here’s what I think will work!
If you read it – then you know I thought it was interesting in how all the Daemonic Steed riders all of a sudden got ahold of those awesome Legion Traits. This got me to think – how would I use and abuse the fact that a bunch of Steed of Slaanesh riding Chaos Lords could all of a sudden generate more hits on a 6 – or a 5, or heck maybe even a 4+.
Don’t hate me because I’m flawless
Hello Flawless Host
I think Legion wise will go with the Flawless host. As we are set up to be a very assault based army, I need to cause as much damage as I can when I hit. This means needing more attacks to push things into the Danger Zone for my opponent. It also means that as I have a ton of characters, I need some things go out into the world that will cause some shooting issues. The best thing at that is Nurglings as they can be deployed far out, are pretty small, and take a bit more to take out than usual. On top of all that I want to look at throwing in one of the new Slaanesh Combo Daemon Prince/Herald. Like a combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell – this is a ridiculous model and a bonus to this army. With that – let’s get on with the brewing.

Flawless Tactics
Basically, this is just a wave of Slaanesh nonsense that is trying to get mixed in, cause as much damage as you can, and hopefully win in the end. A lot of these guys strike first or cause more damage with hits. The one Lord Discordant is designed to be a missile as needed with the other ones helping out in the end. The new Slaanesh Daemon Herald/Prince is a nice bit of glue as well as they can move up quickly, provide powerful support, and throw out some spells as needed. This entire army is designed to move fast and hopefully kill enough stuff.
The one Khorne prince is there to help deal with Knights or anything big and mean. He hits so hard on those things that he can easily just be a simple threat ready to get you as needed. So do you think this would even work? How easy is it to get Head Hunter with this list? How the heck would I make all those Steed of Slaanesh look different and unique? Should I go with the Mirror guy instead as well?
~How annoying is it that using Nurglings is the best thing for the Daemon codex CP battalion?
