Goatboy’s 40K: Pure Khorne Competitive – ANGER AGGRESSION ADRENALINE
Goatboy here and I’ve got a pure Khorne competitive list that isn’t a ton of big robots, monsters, etc. Can it rip apart everything in its way?
This list is run by a good buddy of mine -Mr. Horton – and he runs it a heck of a lot better than I would. Instead of that style of list, I wanted to look at something that could do the board control thing with a ton of aggression. Plus, I wanted to try and use Juggernaut riders as some method to curb my madness and desire to have a Chaos Space Marine Juggernaut rider army. It’s been a dream of mine since the days of counts as nonsense (Space Goats coast to coast!). I love those models, and I am extremely happy they got better with the Chaos FAQ. Thus the following list I threw together in Battlescribe.

Tactics For the Blood God
Now, this is a ton of CP, which can be useful as we have set up each Bloodletter squad to go into the warp for 1 CP each. Plus one will get the Banner of Blood. From there the other thoughts… could make the one Daemon Detachment a Skull thing from the Vigilus campaign. I don’t think it is super amazing, but there is something neat about a Skullmaster throwing some mortal wounds around as needed. From there the army could look at throwing the Advance and Charge Khorne Relic for one of the Lord Discordant to give you 2 Advance and Charge options as needed. I went with Alpha Legion as the army needs some way to have some form of protection. The -1 to hit is very powerful, and this is how the army can survive some of the onslaught coming at them. The one random Chaos Space Marine unit is there to sit on an objective with their -1 to hit and hopefully 2+ armor save due to being in cover. A ton of the time the games I play is ITC – so having some engineer options is powerful.
So will this army work? Probably better than a lot of things out there. It has deep strike options and powerful assault abilities. I don’t like the lack of true shooting – but this is Khorne so what can you do? Just be happy there aren’t any Maulerfiends in this list.
