The Adeptus Mechanicus are FINALLY getting a transport and it’s definitely got a unique look!

Games Workshop teased us with a video about the Ad Mech possibly getting a new ride to battle. Turns out that wasn’t just a possibility – it was already in the works:

That’s right – as some of you cunningly worked out from our earlier preview, the Adeptus Mechanicus are finally getting a dedicated transport in glorious multipart plastic! Goodbye wheels, hello barely understood, deadly technology from the Age of Darkness. The Skorpius Dunerider opens up the option for a new type of Adeptus Mechanicus army – a force of mobile infantry, whether bringing the brutal short-range firepower of the Skitarii to bear with deadly efficiency or dropping fully charged Electro-Priests right in the middle of your foe’s army.

That’s not all either! This is actually a dual kit that can also be built as a Skorpius Disintegrator!

The Ad Mech sure has been busy! From the look of these vehicles, you can certainly see the inspiration from iconic World War II Amphibious Vehicles like the DUKW  and the LCVP (aka the Higgins Boat):

It also shares some design aesthetics with modern hovercraft, too:

GW has managed to mix the Retro-futuristic look of Adeptus Mechanicus with some modern military equipment and the results are really unique! Get ready to storm the beaches of those no-good heretics for the glory of the Omnissiah!

Anyone else thinking about a Saving Private Ryan/Mars Attacks cross over? What? Just me?
