Book 9 of the Horus Heresy is coming–and it’s primed to put the Dark in The Grim Darkness of the Distant Future…

Hot off the Warhammer Fest 2019 floor comes a look at what you can expect to find in the next Horus Heresy book from Forge World. This new book examines how Dark the galaxy of 40K is–it highlights the Dark Angels and their fight against the Dark Mechanicum, and the Night Lords. You might barely be able to see what’s going on on the battlefield. But the new models are highly visible.

Starting with some new praetors that prove the old saying true: if it ain’t baroque, don’t fix it.

And here’s a look at two of the new Leviathan Dreadnoughts for the Calibanites.

I quite like the bulky, boxy one up there, but if you’d prefer your Leviathans to be a little less chonky, here’s a sleeker boi.

And they’ll be squaring off against the Night Lords and their allies in the Dark Mechanicum. So those brand new Armigers we’ve seen floating around are featured heavily. There are four variants on display here.

That gun looks like it shoots something mean–and you can see that power claw on the left arm there.

Here’s another load out. These new Armigers have a big Elemental kind of flavor to them, what with the claw and all. And I really dig it.

Even if this never gets 40K rules, I could see running this as a sweet alternate to an autocannon armiger.

Finally we have our friend here with the plasma gun. These new Armigers look so sleek and stylish, even the Tau should take notice.

But that’s not all–Warhammer Fest also had all manner of Malevolence models on display, so get ready for White Scars, Blood Angels, and spikey daemons. The whole thing kicks off with models available in the next few months:

Then there’s the rest of the new White Scars stuff, like a Land speeder:

And these awesome glaive guys:

Or if you prefer a little more gritty gothicness, here’s a look at the new Blood Angels stuff:

There’s a Dreadnought and Raldoron, looking menacing. Or if you prefer something sleek and stylish:

Finally we close out our Heresy reveals with some sweet new daemons:

Looks like the next two Chapters of the Horus Heresy will be pretty awesome. What do you think of the new models? Let us know in the comments!
