Goatboy’s 40K – Flawless Host Brigade is Perfect
I have wanted to try out a Flawless host Chaos Marine army. Take a look at one Flawless Brigade.
Beyond that, I am excited to see if I can get a Chaos Brigade to work. It lets me have enough Command Points to do goofy stuff with, and lets me play with one detachment. It also makes me feel like I’ve got options to try and win whatever ITC mission I want to throw down with. I usually play ITC, so thinking of armies in this way is the norm for my sleep-addled dad brain. With that let’s get on with this big ole list of nonsense.

I will be doing a ton of 3 choices for this army. It is just what I do and how you get a competitive build to work. Without these cycles of 3, you could lose to a single shooting phase where the lynchpin to your army dies. Thus a ton of copy, paste in the army list. I am also using Forgeworld as one of the options for a Heavy Choice is perfect in getting a Brigade to work. Cheap choices are the only way to fill out all the slots, and FW has the best options. Plus I also picked my current favorite FW unit – the Soul Burner Contemptor Dreadnought.

Flawless Tactics
This list has a large number of bodies that are designed to work independently of each other. The Daemon Prince is there to work with the Dreadnoughts or the Rapier Battery, depending on what you want them to do. The Discordants push forward, and the cultists and CSM are there to hold objectives and move around. I went with two units of Chaos Space Marines as they can sit in terrain, get a 2+ save, and survive Mortar fire as needed. The Rapier Battery is a 12 shot/48″ range heavy bolter. It is a pretty crazy cheap gun that also has the weird Artillery rule where you can’t shoot at the crew unless they are the closest. This could be handy when you need to protect an objective. You could swap out the Daemon Prince for a Chaos lord if you need something else, or just drop him for Ahriman as a single Aux choice. There are a lot of different ways you can go with this if you need too. I just wanted to make a single Detachment army and see if it works.
