AoS: Sylvaneth Glades Sprout New Rules
Say goodbye to the old Sylvaneth Battalions and meet the new Sylvaneth Glades!
The Sylvaneth Glades are back and meaner than ever with the release of the new Sylvaneth Battletome. Previously, each of these Glades was a battalion that had unique rules if you met all the required units. Now, in Sylvaneth 2.0, the Glades are more akin to sub-factions that you can opt to run as part of your army. Doing so unlocks all the new rules for your army and gives you access to more options.
In total, there are 7 Glades to choose from which share the names of the old Battalions: Oakenbrow, Gnarlroot, Heartwood, Ironbark, Winterleaf, Dreadwood and Harvestboon. We’re showing off 3 for your viewing pleasure:
Oakenbrow are really good at holding the line and are pretty tough. Plus they have some good abilities for keeping units alive and fighting.
Gnarlroot really benefits a caster heavy list. With re-rolls to hit for units and extra bonuses for spell casters this faction messes with the arcane side of things.
Another sub-faction that is good at holding the line, the Ironbark can also dish it out as good as they can take it. With re-rolls for battleshock tests and a way to punish the enemy for charging, they make for a great front-line fighting force.
The Sylvaneth are coming in strong with this new battletome. With new Endless Spells, Awakened Wyldwoods, new Glades, new Relics, new Spells, new Command Traits, and more – this army is looking to take root on the tabletop and stick around for many seasons of war. The Battletome is up for pre-order now from Games Workshop!
