AoS Warcry: The Unmade – A New Warband Revealed
Things are about to get scary with a brand new Warband unleashed for Warcry. Meet The Unmade!
Warcry is answering a lot of questions about the Mortal Realms lately. The basic question has been “What would followers of chaos look like if they were from ‘X’ Realm?” Today, ‘X’ = Shyish, the Realm of Death. The answer is horrifying.
Once upon a time, the Unmade were benevolent philosopher-kings renowned across the Realm of Death for their wisdom and nobility (If you’re a long-time Warhammer lore fan, your “senseless tragic downfall” alarm is probably going off right now.) Desperate to fight back the hordes of undead, the inhabitants of this land (a place known as Tzlid) were driven to worship the Chaos Gods – who promptly rewarded them by turning them into maniacal cultists obsessed with pain and mutilation. Seriously – they’re wearing their own faces as belts.
“Agony is our gift” indeed! These new models are basically nightmare fuel. The creepy factor doesn’t just stop with their Belt-face hybrids either. They weapons look cruel and painful to both wield and to be on the receiving end. Their “leathers” are probably people-leather. And what is up with those creep skull masks?! Seriously – this is what happens when you live in the Realm of Death and drink the Chaos Kool-aid.
From a lore perspective, I will say these models are certainly …enlightening. Warcry has shown us the looks of the different Warbands from many of the Mortal Realms and for that I’m grateful. If you’re a fan of the Death side of the faction wheel but wanted to branch out into Warcry when it launches in the Summer of 2019, then The Unmade might be the Warband for you!
Do their eye-holes have teeth? Is that what’s going on here? These guys are seriously jacked-up…Seems about right for a Death/Chaos Hybrid!
