Two new books are out today and aimed at bringing younger readers (and players) into the magical worlds of Dungeons and Dragons.
Spearheaded by D&D legend Jim Zub, whose work you might recognize from the D&D Comics, or titles like Samurai Jack, the Uncanny Avengers and Champions, the Young Adventurer’s Guides are a series of books that are set to spark the imagination of a whole new generation by giving them a guide into the worlds of D&D. There are two books out today, Monsters & Creatures, which introduces memorable monsters from throughout D&D, and Warriors and Weapons, which introduces the different types of warriors, weapons, armor, and equipment that player characters might need (as well as a little help designing their own characters).
