Hasbro has teamed up with Sesame Street for their next project – a fuzzy, posable replica of fan favorite Cookie Monster, complete with googly eyes.

To make sure this replica was as accurate as possible he design team took measurements of the puppet used on screen, and used those to create the skeleton – ensuring scale, height, posture, and positioning match. The eyes are convexed to get just the right amount of movement in its pupils, and the fur was approved by the puppeteers at Sesame Street team.

The result is a fully poseable replica that’s the same size as the one on screen – with hip joints, a bendy wire skeleton, and a ball joint at the neck that allows for movement in a body that’s plush enough to hug.

Hasbro worked with the Muppet fan community to choose the cookie obsessed character for their first offering – wanting it to be a by-the-fans, for-the-fans project. A minimum of 3,000 backers need to pledge before 11:59 PM EST on August 25, 2019 in order for the replica to go into production. If you, a kiddo or kiddo at heart you know, wants one be sure to put your money down asap.
